If you're leaving me here, thanks for sharing your life with me, however briefly, and I wish you all the very best of everything.

If I write for an audience at all on here (which I do, a little bit) it's primarily them. So hadn't I better just stick around on LJ? But I've made Candyfloss and Medicine on Blogger now, and I like having a nice Blogger (they're so much smarter) for my non-academic thinkies. Blogger's not good for angst, though, really. It's less community-based and feels more public. LJ, on the other hand, I dislike because I feel pressured. I have all these lovely LJ friends (bless you) and I can never keep up with them (primarily because things are friends-locked and I rely on Google Reader), which makes me feel guilty.
I'm thinking I'll do what Nadia and Elle have both done recently and start a new LJ. Primarily for angst and navel-gazing, with a bit of random crap thrown in for good measure. I can then invite only my close, real-life friends and whoever else wants to come along, but strictly on the understanding that, if they friends-lock a post and then want me to read it, they need to let me know.
I have so many blogs it's actually ridiculous. I can't keep up as it is. Why do I think I need more?

Hello strangers,
I’ve made a late New Years’ resolution: one blog post per week. That’s not necessarily one LJ update per week: I have very, very many blogs. Let’s see how that goes. My newest addiction is Twitter. Add me: MrsJellybobUK. I’d really like to have my Twitter on the side of my blogs, like on Stephen Fry’s website. Unfortunately, I has not the mad skillz. Speaking of mad skillz and blogging, Manface is making his blog at the moment, and he’s also going to create a… thing that archives your life for you. So all your Facebook updates, Tweets, blog entries, etc, all get backed up on your computer. Want. I guess it would work a bit like MSN chat logs.
I’m in a lecture right now. I don’t even understand its title. I hate economics. I didn’t know I was signing up for weeks of economics with this Greek religion course. Fail.
Hope you’re all well. Oh, and I also hope your life is simplified and enriched by Google Reader, as mine is. If not, you can get started here. Sadly, it’s also the reason I’ll miss most of your entries if they’re friends-locked. If anyone’s using Reader, let me know and I’ll consider un-friends-locking.
Gosh, this LJ is ugly. I think I’ll move my witterings over to Blogger. They can keep my halfway-intelligent thoughts company.
